After Duniya, it’s Jhossh Time in Tamil!

February 9th, 2010 at 10:09 am

Josh The Tamil film industry suddenly seems to have developed a newfound respect for KFI. With the news of Duniya being remade with Dhanush in Tamil, we now have the news of another popular Kannada film, Josh being remade in Tamil. Shivamani, who wielded the megaphone for the original, will work on the Tamil version too.

The Tamil film is named Yuvan and all the actors will be the children of well known Tamil artists. Most of the shooting will be held in Bangalore and most of the technicians too will be from Bangalore. For example, Santosh Rai Pathaje, who did the lens work for Josh, will be doing the same for Yuvan too. Similarly, Ravi varma may compose the fights for the Tamil version.

Hope this is a trend that catches up in Tamil!

Producer SV Babu should be given Paramaveera Chakra award for his bravery in producing two big original non-remake Kannada movies simultaneously, Josh and Sangama. Long live such producers..
Of course, Sangama didn’t run well.. But it should have taught Babu a valuable lesson that to make a hit movie, its not big starcast, but a good director is required.

Hope this continues.. Producers might be willing to make more (read a few atleast) original movies..
