CM’s Booty for KFI

KFI, which is looking for inspiration from various sources, got one from an unexpected quarter on Friday. Chief Minister Mr. Yedeyurappa announced various measures and encouragements for the Kannada Film Industry, which is currently facing a serious recession in terms of a hit.

The Kannada films that get a national award will now get 5 lac rupees. Also, 2 crores will be reserved separately to provide 10 lac rupees each for 50 Kannada films. There will also be a contribution for the welfare fund of cine artists association.

Mr. Yedeyurappa also promised strict measures against pirated CDs, DVDs and Cassettes.
