Darshan: Commercially Yours!
What do you do when the lady luck stops smiling at you? If you happen to be in KFI by any chance, you shun all your creativity, go back to your old habits and search for your lost fortune exactly where you lost it. It may not be a wise decision by the conventional standards; but who said Gandhinagar works on conventional standards?
This was evident in the press conference organized by Thugudeep brothers today to launch their upcoming movie, Saarathi. Darshan and Dinakar Thugudeep, who were all set to try out something new with Sarvataryayami, have decided to put that project on the backburner and try out a Pakka commercial movie as both Darshan and Dinakar Thugudeep(KCN Chandrashekhar as well) badly need a hit.
And that has left us scratching our heads in utter disbelief.
If Darshan thinks that he has to do a ‘commercial’ movie because he needs a hit, what were his earlier movies that bombed at the box office? Weren’t films like Abhay, Arjun and many other Darshan movies hardcore commercial films that sunk without a trace in the box office? If those self styled commercial films flopped, why is Darshan again making a commercial film when he needed a hit? Wasn’t this the time to try out something radically different as the run-of-the-mill stuff is no more working for Darshan?
In fact, Navagraha was partially off the done to death tracks of KFI and that was the only film in recent times that gave Darshan a good name and good business. This should have encouraged the man to try out something more different this time around, especially after the failure of Abhay, which flopped in spite of having some beautiful songs (Baanu Kempadante) and a gorgeous heroine.
Anyway, everyone associated with this film needs a hit badly. They have chosen a rather strange way to accomplish that task. They say they have tried various things such as shooting in Chambal and Kerala and trying out new types of stunts. But as they have confessed, it’s a film where Darshan plays an auto driver and it is a hardcore masala film for Darshan fans.
Unfortunately, so were his last few films.

He always looks good and in this auto driver uniform also he looks handsome….and this is not a normal auto drivers life story like auto raja and auto shankar….This is going to be something different….”Hats off to Toogudeep Bros”.
First thing i appreciate is the title of the movie”Saarathi” and this is going to be a good hit bcoz Dinakar he always tries to do different variety fiilms .All the best to Dinakar & “Challenging Star”.
I think the auto man uniform doesn’t look good on him. . .
But i hope the movie will be accepted by the people. . .

Disappointing.Before launch of the movie expected good movie,but after watching auto man still i lost all hopes.
the places where saarathi ll be shot seems to be interesting……..shooting in chambal valley n all……last kan movie shot there was dr.raj’s super hit sipayi ramu…….
dinakar has good taste n ll deliver an excellent movie like navagraha 1ce again…..after saarathi,sarvantharyaami ll also be made under the same KCN banner……….
darshan movies ll always make money at BO…….he should start acting in more class movies like navagraha…….he is an excellent actor…..he has proved it in navagraha n namma preethiya ramu……..

Navagraha was a very good movie and was very different from today’s masala recipes. It is better to try out different stuffs than settle with the false market beliefs.
There are n number of love stories and baseless action movies from past few years and its high time that kFI should switch to new formulae.
