Dayal’s High Class Circus!

February 1st, 2009 at 10:53 am

dayal The Kannada audience is not yet ready for a magnum opus like Circus, grins Dayal in press conferences. The man who produced and directed the much hyped film is taken aback by lukewarm response to his dream project and puts the blame squarely back on the hapless Kannada audience who refused to see his boring thriller.

Dayal’s theory about the failure of Circus goes somewhat like this. “Circus was not for the mass audience. It was for the class audience. The mass audience is fed only with run of the mill affairs”

While we think Dayal’s Circus might have appealed only those who hadn’t seen a train since their birth, Dayal is sure that he has a masterpiece in his hand and is all set to remake it in Tamil with Dhanush. Although Dhanush hasn’t yet seen the film or given his nod, Dayal is confident about the outcome.

May be he thinks that Dhanush has the class which the Kannada audience didn’t have!

Dayal was the one who generated the negative publicity by stealing someone’s story.. He has to only blame himself…

Dracula. you are a good producer.. But direction is not your cup of cofee. Stop direction at least for a while and continue producing movies.

what Dayal says is correct.i agree there were few boring moments in the movie circus. but circus was a gud thriller.i dont no y people of karnataka r nt ready for diffrnt movies.they always expect love stories,n some macchu, longu kind of stories. y dont v think like bollywood peopl where movies like chakde india, rang de basanthi, lagaan, etc have become super hits though were nt love stories.the reason is dat bollywood peopl nt only accept love stories bt also accept above kind of movies.even we kannadigas hav 2 start accepting such moves n encourage them.then only kannada film industry will reach a great height.we shud luk for a change.

Which class this Dayal is talking about? When it comes to class, Bangalore has the highest class audience. Almost all Maniratnam movies were a bigger hit in Bangalore than actually in Tamil Nadu. Mungare Male and Gaalipata were class movies and they were also massive hits in Bangalore. Even the offbeat class movies like Hyderabad Blues drew enough crowds in Bangalore.

Dayal must be out of his mind to blame the audience for the failure of his movie. Let Dayal learn the art of direction and come back to the industry.
