Director’s Special Says ‘Action,’ Again!
The director is ready with the megaphone in his hand for this ‘Director’s Special,” but it seems the heroes are not willing to be a part of this movie. Komal, who was supposed to work with director Guru Prasad opted out of the movie in the last minute saying he couldn’t do justice to the role. But the Gandhinagar grapevine suggests that he opted out because the story took a dig at anybody and everybody in the industry (that’s a domain we are completely unfamiliar with!) and Komal didn’t want to ruffle any feathers in the industry.
The Guruprasad is a special director and he wouldn’t give up on his film so easily. So, the man is back with the film once again, and it’ll go on floors 27th of this month. This time, he has selected some new comers for his movie. It is said that he has also made some changes to the script. The film is produced by M. Govindu.
Other details about the cast and crew are not known.
Guru,bhat,vijayaprasad and soori must and should direct one movie per year.

You are right on “Yeddelu Manjunatha”. It is an ultimate movie. You should see Guru’s first movie “Mata”. It is simply superb. Guru is one of the very few superb directors remaining in KFI.
I have seen Eddelu manjunatha more than 25 times in my home DVD. I stay in Adelaide,AUS and here the local kannada sangha releases one kan movie once in every 2 or 3 months. We have seen maleyali jotheyali, apta rakshaka and raaj, previously here but all were so so.. After coming here i am missing good kannada movies and i think eddelu … is a class movie with every scene and dialogue enjoyable. jaggesh is one of the very good actors in KFI. probably the last movie i have seen more than 10 times was OM ,a round 15 yrs back. After that very few movies have a place in my heart permanently like aptamitra,janumada jodi,mugaru male,vamshi,milana etc. Very good GURU, keep going and continue the good work
hi guru, u r doing fantasticjob, matha and yeddelu manjunatha r d best movies i have ever seen. kannada industry’s so called gr8 directorsd like s.narayana , d.babu and many r doing unbearable remake movies. others r doing ‘long’ movies. directors like prem does only sound no action. u r d only one who proved the proverb “action is louder than sound”. i want u to do movies d way u r doing now.

Jai Guruprasad. He is one of the very very few intelligent movie makers in KFI. “Director’s Special” would be another cult hit.
