Gaana Bajaana Music Review

(2.5/5) Hosa Gaana Bajaana, Please!
When you listen to Joshua Sridhar’s songs, you will feel that the composer has a distinctive, inimitable style of his own. But as you keep listening to more of his albums, you will have this sinking feeling that this might be the only style he has. Honestly, we have not listened much of the other albums by Joshua Sridhar in other languages; which opens up our point of contention. But many songs in Gaana Bajaana look to be mere continuation of tracks from his successful Love Guru.
Apart from that, this is a reasonable good album!
Gaana Bajaana (Joshua Sridhar, Sayanora): Joshua Sridhar opens the track with his signature style that seems to have arisen from the digital ashes of modern day music. There are rhythmic beats, and the contemporary, hip voices of Joshua Sridhar and Sayanora to make this a perfect, funky Joshua Sridhar track. Bros, sis and pals, take a chill pill and rock! Ain’t this a nice track now?
Hosadondu Hesaridu (Karthik, Shwetha) : A beautiful track that still carries the dragging burden of digital beats with it. For once, Kaviraj justifies his name with lines like Kaluvagiro Angadi Haage, Kallu takida Kannadi Haage as Karthik, Shwetha lend a ‘hip’ touch to the song. Now, it’s a whole different question as to this ‘hip’ feel was really needed for such a soothing track!
Aajaa Naachre (Joshua Sridhar, Sayanora) : Next song please!
Naanu Eega Naanena (Karthik) : Opposites do attract sometimes. Joshua Sridhar successfully weds this slow, relaxing tune with his customary digital beats that somehow seems to make sense out of chaos. Kaviraj adds to this delectable mayhem with some Hindi words thrown in for special effects. And guess what? The potpourri works just fine!
Krish Intro (Benny Dayal) : Actually, we need an intro to this intro, which may only be unraveled after the film is released. Until then, you have to make peace with Benny Dayal and some merciless beats who try their best to push you to your limits.
Gundetu Gundetu (Benny Dayal, Chinmayee) : A track that tries being many things at once and ends up being a rather ordinary track in the end. Lyricist V. Nagendra Prasad has written an apt line that describes this whole song, Gottilla, Ondu Guri Illa!

Awesome songs… I see some comments about Joshua sridhan being over hyped…. he deserves the Hype.. he has done a fabulous job… Hope you ppl are not used for perfect blend music scores.. i pity u.. All songs are absolutely awesome and have set the expectations very high !!!
GOOD LUCK TEAM … keep many such coming !!!
suuuper songs ll give 5
The title song is superb.. Hope the picturisation matches the song..
huh! I don’t like this Tarun. He will not have any feelings on his face. Don’t know why director choses this guy.. that too with Radhika Pandit.. He showing his steel body is worth laugh.. hehe..
Tarun showing off his “cleavage” is looking immensely funny and RP too is looking like a “jawari” item trying western outfits for the first time!
Although the tracks are familiar to LG these songs are simply good, Gaana Bajaana is a rocker, Hosadondu and Naanu eega are simply soothing. Good singing by Karthik and Shwetha. Wonderful composition by Joshua Sridhar.
there was a great contrast in songs to ‘Arasu’ in ‘Love Guru’ but same has been carried on in GB from the latter.
on a separate note it would be good to see the LG team work in this. Although the hero is a good dancer the same cannot be said on his acting skills. Radhika is a good actor and can reach tomorrow’s No. 1 slot but atleast need to have a pleasing bod as a heroine. She looks lean and tired!! All the best to Prashant!
Nice Album.. Do give it a try…
Same old Joshua shridhar. Another hyped tamil music director
As told by Raju Shanbhag the album is avg. Only one song is better, Hosadondu hesaridu is good, all songs resemble like Love Guru, with same kind of Music. I never Almost all songs are bass based, no variation in Music.
“Hosadondu Hesaridu” is the pick of the album…..rest of them are monotonous….
I dont agree with this review.. The songs r so good that, i would rate ****. This review makes the listeners to stay off this album.. But the listeners wil miss this fabulous album if they trust this poor review…. So please evry1 must try this album.
