Gandede Movie review
(1.5/5) Gandede – Need one to watch it!
For some strange reason, we believe that newcomers get sucked into bad projects only if they have nobody to guide them in the industry. But Chiranjeevi Sarja, who has the backing of his famous uncle Arjun Sarja to guide him, is trying his best to prove that notion wrong.
And with films like Gandedhe, he doesn’t have to wait too long.
Like Murphy’s Law, everything goes wrong for Gandede wherever it can. The story is ok, but it was invented by some smart Alec about three decades ago. The direction gleefully goes hand in hand with the quality of the story and to add icing on the cake, Ragini cannot act and Chiranjeevi Sarja does not look a hero material, at least not now.
Gandedhe is the story of Krishna, who has the capacity to beat up as many extras as the budget of the film can afford. Devaraj is a powerful man in a godforsaken village who always wears white clothes and sees red whenever someone eyes his hot daughter, Nandini. Invariably, Krishna, sets his eyes on Nandini and elopes with her and makes Devaraj’s eyes even more reddish. A whole gang of weapon brandishing musclemen set out on various heavy duty vehicles to catch the runway couple.
Unfortunately, this wafer thin story is stretched for the whole length of the film with only Ragini’s occasional skin show and Devaraj’s sensible portrayal of his character making the proceedings bearable. Chiranjeevi Sarja is good in fights, but even that is spoiled with unnecessary computer graphics. His acting and his dialogue delivery has to improve a lot if he wants to sustain his career in the long run. For that matter even Ragini cannot act, but she has ‘other’ things to rely upon.
As said before, Devaraj and Rangayana Raghu are the saving graces in the acting department. Cinematography and music are average.

simhada mari may not be huge hit but it recovered its cost even bieng a expensive film at that time.
police lockup and AK47 were big hits and were entertaining films.
ramu should seriously try some else now.

Sonu nigam first song was from sneha Loka.
Ramu was never associated with this. Don’t
make stupid comments.
Hollywood also good attempt.
Raakshasa also one of the best action movies in Kannada Industry.Tavarina Siri yet another good family entertainer.Sonu nigam was first introduced by Ramu and that song is alltime grt romantic song.He is better then rockline in swamakes and variety inspite of some mass movies.

Ramu was a big producer and a prominent name among the production houses but offlate he is in lean patch.His first production was Golibar which is one of the best action movies in the history of Sandalwood and also best directorial of Shivamani without second thoughts.
Among his 20 odd movies,AK47,Golibar,Nanjundi(unfortunate it missed state award) are the best movies with evergreen appeals.Rest are all massy movies for mass audiences.SM might not had long run like AK47 but it had 50 days in all centres especialy in smaller towns and 4 centres in capitial alone,it was a big hit without doubht.As time changes he too needs to do some changes in his approach and mindsets.
@Raj-The showman… In what universe was Simhadamari a huge hit? At the time of its release, it was one of the costliest movies made and one of the biggest bombs at the box office. Ramu’s AK-47, was a huge hit though.. But apart from a few movies, Ramu’s movies have always been full of nonsense action, rather than content.
Gandede is directed by telugu person and has tried to impose alien elements to Kannada cinegoers.He is supposed to be famous writer over there ,but has failed miserably to study the nativity and tastes of the audiences before doing the movie and impressing.Ramu is well known for action flippers and he hasent disappointed the audiences from these kinda of moviesover the years spearding more then 11/2 decades.Simhadha mari was a big hit,i still remember all showshouse full in Sampige theatre in its first week.
Now its right time for Ramu to identify some young ,educated and modernthinking directars if at all he is hell bent to produce some more movies .Nothing is impossible,if he makes his mind firm and focused.

Ramu’s trade mark is action thriller.He might have had wrong choice in directar and even in story,script.Who told that he was not producer of taste,probably you have not been in Karnataka to talk like this.Simhadhamari was a huge hit,when many of us were in school days.Dont post such a irresponsible and unhealthy comments without knowing the matters.
Better if Ramu stick to distribution if he wants to make some money. He was never a good producer in terms of taste. He still makes movies for his out of shape wife, that too silly action movies. I feel sorry for Ramu because he is innocent person, a good person. People around him are taking advantage of his niceness and making crap movies for him.
@Kumar : People said the same thing about simhadamari as it was shivarajkumar and omprakash combination, what happened to that? nobody cares for omprakash rao anymore.

I think Ramu is finished as a producer with this film. when was his last hit? Malla! that was 8 years ago.
It’s better not to produce such movies to sale the respect of kannada industry by bid. Let the producer not get a single re. back and director no more chance to direct any other. Chiranjeevi should be given a chance as side actor. I curse all..
