Ganesh – New Film Announced

November 8th, 2008 at 10:11 am

Ganesh First, it was Telugu music director Devi Shri Prasad’s tuneful beats which gave Ganesh a new lease of life in Sangama. Now, the volume of creative input from the neighboring state has increased proportionately with the success of Sangama. Ganesh will now be seen in a film called Ullasa Utsaha which is a remake of Telugu film Ullasanga Utsahanga; how creative!

The news is that along with the story, even the music director of the original film, Prakash Kumar will be scoring the music for the Kannada version. In all likelihood, he wouldn’t take much trouble and copy the same tunes of the Telugu original to Kannada. The original film starred Yaso Sagar and Sneha Ullal. Here in Kannada, Shraddha Arya will be playing Ganesh’s love interest.

Hailing from Delhi, Shraddha Arya is a model and was the runner up of the popular competition named “Zee Cinestar ki Khoj.” Those who had the misfortune of watching Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd will remember her as the girl who played daughter of Amitabh Bachchan in that film. She has also acted in other south Indian films such as Kalvanin Kadhali and Godava.

If Sangama saw the debut of director Ravi Varma, Ullasa Utsaha will see the debut of another director Devaraj Palan. The film is produced by B. P Tyagaraj and H. A Rahman.

remake or swamake how does it make a difference? OK, it makes difference to only people watching other language movies……but then why r we Kannadigas watching other language movies in the 1st place??

Stop watchin other language movies. Watch “Sandalwood” only.

Appreciate thats good and reject something thats bad – as simple as that.

    Jai Karnataka.

No Sharat, we dont have many good directors here in Kannada to carry an original movie. Like Ravichandran and Ramesh, though they’re good directors, they screw up original movies and direct remake movies well. Whats wrong with remakes of Telugu, Tamil, and Mallu movies as we never see those movies. At least the actors will be utilized to their full potential.
Moreover Ganesh is lucky with remake movies. All his remake films have become hits like Cheluvina Chithara, Hudugata…etc.

its better they direct the film budget cost to an orphanage than do a remake movie… i dont know when these people will learn… absolutely no creativity.. very sad

Got something to say?
