Gubbi in Mungaru Male hangover!
It’s been three years since Mungaru Male doused the coffers of producers with some serious cash. The viewers saw it in theatre, watched it again on TV, listened to the songs and are on the verge of forgetting it. Even Yogaraj Bhat, the man who must be credited for the success of the film, seems to have moved on. But there are some people who are clinging on to the frame and formula of the film as if they are clinging to their dear lives.
Preetham Gubbi, who wrote the screenplay for the film, is yet to see the clear skies. With the failure of Haage Summane, the man is all set to hit the screens again with a new film. Since MM was shot 80% in rain, Preetham too is awaiting for monsoons to arrive to shoot the film rain!
And we thought we had seen it all.
Apart from Ganesh, Preetham is repeating most of the artists and technicians of MM. They include lyricist Jayant Kaikini, cinematographer Kishna. S and of course, Goldy. The major change from the Mungaru Male team will be music director Harikrishna, who replaces Mano Murthy. There are two heroines in the film and none of them have been finalized as yet. Harsha will be the choreographer, Deepu S Kumar will do the editing.
We at Bellitere believe that the industry will not go forward by trying to recreate the old magic. In fact, the magic of cinema lies in opening up the viewers to something fresh, and something they have not experienced before.
But then, whom are we talking to?!
I will do any type of movie for money.
Ganesh has to cutdown his body size and his face size…..axe his awkhard long hairs….and really good story unlike crap haage summane if these are followed some hopes…

After the pathetic movie ‘Haage Sumane’ one can easily say that Preetams next movie with MM hangover will be a utter flop driving the last nail into Ganesh failing career.
I agree with what you say, but lets have some patience. Let the movie come out !! No need to comment even before movie making has begun. Who knows you might be correct that they are trying to recreate Mungaaru male. But be optimistic and lets hope for good things atleast !!
