Inthi Ninna Preethiya

January 22nd, 2008 at 4:08 pm

InthiNinnaPreethiya Inthi Ninna Preethiya is releasing today, 29th Feb 08. Interestingly it has not been able to get as many good theatres as Gaalipata had managed to get. It maybe because Suri’s earlier movie Duniya was a slum based movie and these theatre owners might be thinking that Suri’s movie has less affinity to class audiences. But the promos and songs of Inthi Ninna Preethiya suggest that it’s much different movie than Duniya.

The most irritating thing about these directors Suri, Prem, and Yograj Bhat is that they’re hyper obsessed with death. They have the tendency to glorify and horrify the death too much in their movies. Luckily Yograj Bhat did make an honest attempt in Gaalipata to come out of this death trap.

Release Date: 29th Feb 2008

‘Inti ninna preethiya’ is a very good movie. Even though the movie looks dark and people feel that its negative, pessimistic and so on, it hasa very positive undertone. The way the movie has been narrated is excellent. There are a few flaws in the movie like every other movie but its a movie which will be appreciated in years to come irrespective of its box office outcome…

Mungaru male also had a bad ending and still it was one of the biggest hits in Kannada industry. Sholay, Ek Duje Ke Liye also had bad endings, but they are all time big hits in India!

hey it was not such a bad movie that all are making this much big issue of it….i hate to watch kannada movies but i watched this movie it was good…indian audients only like to see happy ending that’s not the life…life is fully opposite…suri hads off man…u are doing great job…u know how to get the work done by the people in your movie…all played a great role in this movie…

I have not seen the movie. But I have seen the song “ondonde” about 1000 times on TV. My god, this song looks like straight out of Maniratnam movie!!!!! I was pleasantly shocked to see such a great production quality coming out of a kannada movie. But having experiened the Suri’s obsessive cynic, negative storyline in Duniya, didn’t dare to watch Inthi Ninna Preethiya. I guess that was a good decision. Looks like Suri has had very troubled childhood. I wish some girl or something powerful comes in his life and changes his negative attitude towards life to something positive! So much talent this guy has and such a mega waste!!

Other than his depressive, pessimistic, destructive tendencies, Suri is the best director that Kannada industry has ever seen.. Maybe he can learn from his friend Yograj Bhat who is not as good a filmmaker as Suri is but has found more success than Suri.

The way Nandhitha has sung the song, Hoo Kanasa Jokali made me breathless.. She’s Simply amazing!! It’s shocking to see that Sadhu Kokila can give such a mature song and to come to know that there exists a singer in Karnataka who can carry such songs to this height!

He doesn’t just promote such things but glorifies them and presents them as heroics!

Ya Vishwas, I agree with you. Suri’s movies promote escapism, alcoholism, and self destruction. He’s Anti-life.. Good that kannada audiences punished him by making it a big flop despite its excellent music and its technical values..

Life has both sorrow as well as happiness. Only the movies which have depressive themes do not make masterpieces or lifetime movies.. In fact, such movies are coward movies. Thats y I hate movies like Black, Devdas and this movie too!

    Hi everyone.
I feel i might have failed in making money. But in some people opinion its a lifetime movie. Its just like ‘Amazing’.

The Hindu has declared that Inthi Ninna Preethiya failed at boxoffice. Check this link: http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/009200803151124.htm

As per sify.com’s report, surprisingly it did’nt even get good opening! Songs are good, promos were good, and Suri had become a big celebrity after Duniya. Still it was not able to draw the crowd..

What is the box office fate of this movie? A lot of reviews were negative.. Did it flop?

Got something to say?
