Mangalooru, the city that sits cozily along the shoreline of Karnataka has no tinsel town status. And yet this serene coast city has blazed the screen of Bollywood with beauties who have set the stage on fire and raised mercury levels to unmatchable heights. Women, who have wooed the crowds and sued the crooks, had the crown along with the king. We cannot, but agree that Namma very own Mangalooru is the native land to some Blazing Bollywood Beauties!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Miss World, Mrs Abhi (baby) Bachchan; the ice maiden who is also a nice bahu (hopefully!). Aishwarya Rai swished off and settled down in Bollywood after a somewhat shaky Bollywood start post the Miss World 1997 crown. She did make a slight detour into the Tamil movieland, but never ever ventured into Sandalwood. Her tryst with Kollywood has been Mani Rathnam’s ‘Iruvar’ and Shankar’s ‘Jeans’. Both of them bombed at the box-office.

Aishwarya zoomed to Bollywood fame with ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ in which she played reel life Sanam to Salman Khan. And to an extent real life girl friend as well! Ash went on from Salman to Vivek (of the ‘Company’ fame) to Abhishek Bacchaan whom she most willingly married after a series of pujas that removed the Dosham for the Jodi. Noticeably Ash developed most of her real life relationships while running around trees for the reel! Reely uncanny Abhi Baby!
