Nana – at last maana!

The will he? wont he? air bubbles surrounding Nana Patekar, regarding his entry into Sandalwood, have been burst. And it is now confirmed that he is going to act in a Kannada movie called Yaksha. The news was confirmed by the debutant director of the movie Ramesh Bhagavat who went a long way to pursue Nana for his movie. Ramesh confessed to the media that Nana was particularly impressed with the Yaksha story and his character in the movie that finally made him say yes to this project.

Earlier it was rumored that Nana is going to enter Sandalwood through the movie Parole, produced by well known editor Suresh Urs. But it hadn’t materialized.

Yaksha has Yogish in the lead and it is going to be produced by his dad T. P. Siddaraju. Praneeta, the lead actress of Porki, will play the heroine role. The film has Master Hirannayya, Atul Kulkarni and Kalabhavan Mani in its star cast. And also, for the first time, the producer T.P. Siddaraju himself is going to wear the grease paint for one of the roles! The music will be scored by Anoop Seelin.

Last but not the least, when we spoke to T.P.Siddaraju, he told us that the character of Nana in the movie speaks Hindi laced in Kannada, and Nana himself is going to dub for his character. Imagine how the famous baritone voice of Nana would sound when he says: nanna magandu, bikanasi ondu solle manushyanna hizara madabidutte!
