Nannusire

August 28th, 2008 at 8:35 pm

Nannusire Now a days its becoming a routine that if a new face is making a debut, it’d be either the producer’s son or a TV anchor or the producer himself like in Anthu Inthu Preethi Bantu.  With the exception of Ganesh, all these have turned out to be disastorous debuts. Rahul, the U2 channel anchor is making his debut in this movie to join the list of Ganesh, Anand(Manasugala Maatu Madhura), and Shravanth(Chikkamagaloora Chikkamallige). Its not just the hero, Nannusire hosts many other debutants including the producer Ashok, director duo Santosh-Velupriyan, the heroine Keerthi, and the music director Premji Gangai Amaran! Of couse, Premji is not exactly a debutante as he’s done few movies in Tamil. As for as the Kannada industry is concerned, Nannusire happens to be his first Kannada movie.

More on Nannusire:

Director: Santosh-Velupriyan
Producer: Ashok.M
Starring: Rahul, Keerthi, and Gayathri.
Music: Premji Gangai Amaran

Impressive Debut!

Nannusire Audio(Music) Review By Suchitra Preetham

It is as if the celestial bodies have re-aligned themselves favorably over the Kannada map after the musical mungaru showers. The Nannusire tracks breathe in romance, hip-hop beats and some ‘you-can-listen-again’ lyrics. Well, the most recent movie music trend is that the music director decides that the planetary influences are sufficient for about two songs per movie. The rest they leave to destiny (destiny of the listeners). Nannusire, has two or three promising tracks (destiny at play again). Nannusire introduces Premji Gangai Amaran (actor, singer and composer- the list as of now) into Sandalwood in a churmuri avatar of music composer, and singer.

Nannusire Nannusire: Rap in my usire: This is the first of the promising numbers. Can say that without a crystal ball; the rap-merged rhythm, lyrics by Hrudaya Shiva and voices of Naveen and Shweta can take this number to the charts. But then, let us know if you have heard a mix of these tunes while traveling elsewhere.

Neenu nanagaagi: Point noted, the movie is Nannusire. Does that mean we need a (over) dose of songs on usire? This is the other promising song. Karthik and Srinivas giving life to Kaviraj’s lexis make ‘Neenu nanagaagi’, the much-needed usire (pun intended) in the album.

Ninagaagiye: The sad song of the movie. Every movie has a heartrending song and ‘Ninagaagiye’ is the song that fits the mood for this movie. This track requires the crystal ball. Actually gazing at the crystal ball with a vacuum between your ears may help tiding over to the end.

Mujaane Suryananne: The girl song. You can close your eyes and envision a girl hop-skip-jump in nature’s glory. Sujatha’s intonation to the Mujaane Surya, the belli chukis and the chandamamma is youthful and energetic.

Hesarina Melu Preeti: The love song. Or also the boy-girl in-love song. The unmistakable voices of Rajesh Krishnan and Nanditha give you the feel of the song. The lyrics of the song are once again directed towards Usire! This time it is in Nagendra Prasad’s words. ‘Hesarina Melu Preeti’ is just another nice love song.

Sanje Beachinalli: The funny song. Sanje Beachinalli has the singer avatar of Premji in dominion. Vasundara Das compliments well. The Kannada-English lingoes are slightly muddled in the whacky beats.

A Brief History of Music Director

Music Premji Gangai Amaran, shot to fame with his famous line in Chandramukhi, ‘Enna kodumai sir ethu’.  Hailing from a musically established family, Premji is the son of the famous musician-director Gangai Amaran. Premji is Ilayaraja’s nephew and Yuvan Shankar Raja’s cousin. He made his debut as music director with Thoza (Tamil). With music in his genes, Premji Gangai tried his hand at acting too. He rocked the Tamil audiences with his histrionics in brother’s Venkat Prabhu’s Chennai 600028. Though the movie gained acclamation at the box office, Premji Gangai did not favor the post-Chennai 600028 roles that came to him. Even after announcing his exit from acting, Premji Gangai has donned the grease paint for Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja. Now this composer-singer turned actor and re-turned actor has welded the conductor’s stick for his Sandal entry with Nannusire.

    Hi Goobeguru,
Published Payana music review. Thanks man, for recommending this movie.. Songs are very good.
    Regards,
    Chandru

  18. Goobeguru on September 6th, 2008 9:21 pm

Yeah Chikkamagalura Chikkamallige’s music is bad, new low for K.Kalyan. The only plus point is new singers.
@ Chandru, waiting for Payana’s review. I loved 3 songs in there.

  19. niranjan on September 6th, 2008 1:27 pm

Dheemaku has talented Arjun’s music, you should review this. I heard a couple of songs on radio..really good.

Where as, Chikkamangaloora Chikka Mallige’s director is horrible and less said the better about the lead pair. So better you skip this crap.

  20. Chandru on September 6th, 2008 9:57 am

Yes, Payana is on the pipeline.. Currently we’re reviewing Rajkumari and Chikkamangaloora Chikka Mallige..
Many many thanks for the feedback..
    Regards,
    Chandru

  21. Goobeguru on September 6th, 2008 9:06 am

Hi Chandra, I also find Payana audio has not be reviewed. Could you please review it?

  22. Goobeguru on September 6th, 2008 9:05 am

Hi Chandru, the music is OK. 2 songs are good. a couple of them are comedy based songs and 1 customary Karnataka song. Its just OK

  23. Chandru on September 5th, 2008 7:56 am

    Hi Goobeguru,
the promos of Dheemaku dont look very promising. So we just ignored it as Its just one of those movies where producers are launching their son. Moreover its been threatening to release since long time and no firm news of releasing.

By the way, how’s the music?

  24. goobeguru on September 4th, 2008 11:56 pm

Hey where is Dhimaku music review??

  25. prateekjt on August 31st, 2008 6:43 pm
