Naticharami, says Amrita Rao
But of course, Amrita Rao had a huge hit in Bollywood with Main Hoon Na. But when it came to taking the credits for the success, Shah Rukh again said Main Hoon Na, and Amrita Rao was left fending for opportunities on her own. It seems there is an intelligent mind behind those cute looks of Amrita Rao and the girl has started looking down south for money and fame. And the filmmakers down south are just as happy obliging her dreams and demands.
After pairing with Mahesh Babu in Telugu Athidi, the girl is coming to Kannada film Naticharami to be produced by Jayaprakash Reddy under JPR Productions. Amrita comes to Kannada with a price tag of 55 lacs. Now, a simple math tells a complex story of the way Kannada film industry works. For the price with which Amrita comes to Kannada, almost all the top heroines of Kannada can be made to act in a single film!
This astronomical sum for a heroine is paid by the same industry which constantly cribs about character artists charging 1 lac per day. What makes them pay such huge sums to an actress who could not assure a single hit on her own? We believe that it’s only the fascination for Bollywood faces that make them provide red carpet welcome for even mid range heroines from Bollywood.
Best of luck to the producers!

No wonder she’s choo chweeeeet
Amrita Rao is not out-of-state acctress, mya be she lives in Mumbai but roots are in karnataka.
Her grand parents , aunts and many other relatives lives in bangalore, chitrapur, udupi and mangalore. Her father Deepak Rao is from chitrapur and they all speak kannada fluently.
Price tag may be high but not an ousider.
Oh! Ya.. Malashri.. She too had her share of golden days in Kannada. But threw away everything bcos of her obesity and C-grade movies.
What about Malashree?
Juhi chawla and Khusboo were no where near her. Ofcurse now she’s a gone case.
Funny Kannada producers
But the fact is that other than V.Ravichandran, till date nobody has succeded in giving fame to these out-of-state actresses! Juhi Chawla and Kushboo had become sensations in Karnataka.
