Parichaya Music Review – A tympanic delight

(3.5/5) Audio Review by Suchitra Preetham
Nothing stops Gandhinagar’s obsession for outsourcing. And now Parichaya announces a Gift (not a pun) to Sandalwood. The devils and evils of outsourcing accompany this occurrence. Jessi Gift raps in unlimited, so much so that too many foot tapping numbers makes you long for a chair. And yes, the album has a romantic number that makes you relax on the chair. But then once again, just when you rest your base and let your senses take over, an overdose makes you instinctively reach out for some ear buds. Parichaya overall, is a peppy album with a couple of catastrophes.
Nadedaaduva Kaamanabillu (KK, Rajalakshmi): Undoubtedly the best song in the album, Nadedaaduva Kaamanabillu whisks in a whole lot of percussion and drums. KK’s opening lines amid a whacky-cracky electronically synthesized refrain; is spunky and tweaky. While the Jessi Gift Hebbettu spills from start to finish, this Kaamanabillu track will keep you humming, singing, shaking a leg or a head for sometime.
Kudinotave Manamohaka (Shaan, Shreya Goshal): The Rasika in Kaikini emanates naturally in yet another outsourced musical Jodi. Kudinotave Manamohaka is truly a tympanic delight that brings out some Romanchaka feelings if love is on your cards. Even if the queen of hearts has eluded you, this track still scores on tugging your senses.
Kudinotave Manamohaka (Shaan; but I think it is Rajalakshmi): The Kudinotave Manamohaka is overdone and out with its female solo version in Rajalakshmi’s voice (or is it Shaan with laryngeal distortions).
Kudinotave Manamohaka – Club Mix version (again in Rajalakshmi’s voice) mixes some potent beats which leads Kudinotave Manamohaka- Club Mix to complete disaster. Heard of too much of sugar kaputing into diabetes?
Jigi Jigi Jigidu (Alisha Chinai, Blaze, Jessi Gift): is a title track of sorts that announces ‘Parichaya- An introduction to love’. Jigi Jigi Jigidu, a charged bubbly track is an instant jigi-jigi-a-leg number. Jessi generously gifts the track with his domain of expertise – hardhitting Punjabi punches. Blaze’s raspy voice is clear advantage.
Jeo Jeenedho (Baba Sehgal, Jessi Gift): The rap Baba pelts out Kannad-Hin-English lexis, thanks to Kaviraj’s expert pen. But then this Baba succeeds to get everyone on the floor. The amalgamation of Gift-Baba voices with a metallic-tinnish pitch makes it a total Masti Tapankuchi number.
O Nanna Olave (Kailash Kher): After all the rap and beats and some ear-numbing numbers, Kailash Kher’s poignant melancholy makes your Olagina intestines turn and churn. I don’t mean the tunes or lines are bad or sad. It is just that Kher needs pretty much polishing on his Kannada accent to keep your head from whirling and intestines from swirling.
Kopa Beda Singaari (Zubeen Garg, Jessi Gift, Chaitra HG): is a no tune, no stuff number. It can neither keep the kopa from surfacing or a Singaari to shake a leg.

when u r going 2 release d movie iam wating is this year it hapeen……………………….
Clearly an overrated album. Jessie Gift’s music is just not Gifted enough for this hype it has created. Common guys..listen to this album and hudugaata..there are so many similarities.
A good album.all songs r good.
Yes Preethi, I agree with you.. They were not correct English(1st and 3rd) and we corrected them. Ignoring the exaggeration element, thanks for that..
But your earlier interpretation of “base” stuff smelled of personal attack and your attaching significance to Sujeet Shetty’s insignificant Bollywood life was funny.

Dear Chandru
Thanks for doing an analysis of my interpretation! Why not one of the review then?
“It is just that Kher needs pretty much polishing on his Kannada accents to keep your head from whirling and intestines from swirling.”
“Heard of too much of sugar kaputing into diabetes?”
“The time tested and much acclaimed voices of Shaan and Shreya Ghosal emanates lucidly to the Kaikini ink. ”
Too much anatomy, so why not take a shot at the review? And you mean time tested voices emanates is correct English?
Clearly overrated album..only 1 or probably 2 songs are good. Raju where are you?
yes, in that context, ‘base’ implies ‘butt’ and ‘sound’ obviously means ‘music’.
Preethi, your linguistic “base” is pathetic as ur utter disregard to the context while reading is legendary!! The context in that paragraph was dance and its a music review… I wonder who taught you English!
This kind of interpretation is generally associated with perversion in psychiatry!
“But then once again, just when you rest your base and let your senses take over, an overdose makes you instinctively reach out for some ear buds.”
LOL! This is so badly written, it seems to be saying you rest your backside, and let it cool when the sudden sounds coming from there makes you reach for ear buds! Never heard anyone saying “base” for backside! Where DID you learn English? Please stop writing!
dear suchi,
heroine is very cute ………………….
Album rocks….good album after Raj
hats off to Kaviraj……..
A very good album. Wow 3.5 stars out of 5. Thanks Raju Shanbag a million tonnes for staying away from review this time. It has resulted in a very decent rating.
Good Album overall, Nadedaaduva Kaamanabillu, Kudinotave Manamohaka, Jigi Jigi Jigidu and Jeo Jeenedho are good in number. O Nanna Olave is better but Kher’s voice should have been good.
Really wonderful album. Jigi-Jigidu is a foot tapping number.
