Picture 5 of 5

And they lived happily ever after… that’s how all family entertainers end and that’s what director turned producer Prakash would be hoping for his latest multi starrer family entertainer, Gokula. The director, who bubbled to fame with two popular hits Milana and Vamshi, kicked off Gokula shooting on 2nd July 09. The movie would be released under his own banner Abhay Surya. The name of it also happens to be his son’s name. The film stars his relative, Vijay Raghavendra in the lead. What a twist of family connections!

With Puneeth not in the star cast, Prakash has the luxury to afford multi stars. He’s got Vijay Ragvendra, Pooja Gandhi, Nakshatra, Yash, Pawan and Raghuraj to share the screen space. Pooja Gandhi plays the role of a medical student and she’s paired with Vijay Raghavendra. Nakshatra, the real-life daughter of Sumithra is paired with Yash.

Apparently the story revolves around four orphans who leave the orphanage and get adjusted to life outside and of course life outside has few romances in store. Add to this an old couple playing the role of aged parents played by Shrinivasmurthy and Sumitra and a whole dollop of goodness. Mano Murthy does the music for Gokula, which will have five songs. Apart from that he also plans on introducing, Ritisha, a singer from Star Voice of India.
