Puneeth turns to remakes

With Lagori tumbling without even a single round being played, Puneeth Rajkumar is now looking at other ventures. He is currently busy with Raj in Prem’s direction. After that film, sources say that he might act in a new film, which will be a remake of Telugu’s Ready, starring Ram.

The producer of that film will be our favorite Aditya Babu, who tried his hands (not the face!) at acting in Antu Intu Preethi Bantu. After that film bombed at the box office, he tried his luck as a producer with Shivanna in Paramesha Panwala. Even that film didn’t do wonders at the box office and now, Aditya Babu is all ready to launch a new film with Puneeth. Shreenuvaitla, who directed the original film in Telugu, will direct this film too.

With that, all the major stars such as Puneeth, Ganesh, Darshan, Sudeep are busy acting in remake films. Only Shivarajkumar stands apart from the pack for his refusal to act in remakes. Shooting for Puneeth’s new film will start after he finishes the shooting of songs for Raj in Canada in January.
