Just when people thought that his tryst with a remade ride (Savaari) did not take him to his destiny, Jacob Varghese hit the bull’s eye as he got the call to direct Puneeth Rajkumar in Prithvi. In many ways, Prithvi is the happy reunion of some successful pairs. While Puneeth stars again with the Milana girl Parvathi, Jacob Varghese still persists with his favorite music director Manikant Kadri, who created magic in Savaari.

The film is being produced by Soorappa Babu and N. S. Rajakumar. Along with Puneeth and Parvathi, the film also stars Ramesh Bhat, Shrinivasa Murthy, Padmaja Rao, Avinash and company.

Puneeeth might have missed out on playing Lagori with Yogaraj Bhat, but he has been jockeying his hopes on YB’s close friend Suri. Suri will be directing him in Jackie. Talks are also on to make Raam II with producer Aditya Babu, which will also be a remake like Raam.

    first i appreciate punith for accepting to do this movie and i also thank jacob the director for giving a wonderful conceptual movie like pruthvi….surely this movie will rock the sandalwood records n i hope this movie gets the state award

    movie s too good… i really love the movie …. the way its being picturized …. hats off jacob varghees… and the villan of the movie my god awesome…. please do watch the movie in theatres …. its bout bellary mining …. every thing is extraordinary … and no words bout the power star(*) ultimate … n the heroine tooo … i have already watched the movie twice … a classic movie…

    This film like all Puneet’s films would turn out to extraordinary and erase and recreate BO history in KFI held by puneet. I am sure all girls & boys go crazy about PUNEET PARVATHY PRUTHVY.
    The film will also be screened in Kerala & Andhra in dubbed version simultaneously where he has a huge fan following.

    Baba sehgal sung a song for a film called ‘PUNEETH’ not ‘PRITHVI’. Dilip Pai is the hero of ‘puneeth’, not appu!

    appu will become a great star in INDIAN industry one or another day by his hard work and tallent and proffessionalism……………………… only thing we(kannadigas) should encourage our industry and should watch our films only…………….. i am shore if our industry get scope by us we will get world class movies in our own industry………. then we did not need to go other films only we shold have patence and we shound give support to our industry rather than always critisising it…..

    Puneeth looks sober in the pics and seems very different from what he’s been doing lately.. Somewhat Arasu kind of looks. Would be a good image change for him..
    But Parvathi looks pale compared to Milana. Probably bcos of hair style.. For her kind of lean body, straight hair that she had in Milana looks good on her.
