Rekha in Parichaya – Fashion gone awry!!

August 16th, 2009 at 11:17 pm

Apart from K Sanjay giving us a good music album (by Jessie Gift) here’s what also comes with the much awaited Parichaya – Rekha’s make-over. While most actresses have not been subjected to drastic make-overs in most of our films, K. Sanjay begs to differ. But unfortunately, things did not turn out as expected.

While Hudugata showcased Rekha as a bubbly girl and her looks to suit just that, Parichaya changes the Rekha we all know (rather knew). To start with, the flicks on the forehead make her face look fatter. Makes it look round and the make-up doesn’t go with the round face look. Her dressing themes are light years away, from an innocent small-girl look to a sexy rule-the-ramp look. All her dresses have a characteristic way-above the-knee look unlike her usual jeans and a tee look.

songs have been picturised badly.. camera movements and angles are irritatingly too fast.. before a scene actually registers in mind, 2-3 scenes would have passed by. Some steps are good. But difficult to catch.

Its not easy to picturise songs with such a fast movements. In songs like Shania Twain’s “you’re still the one” or Michael Jackson’s “Jam”, such techniques have been brilliantly used. But here the overall effect is irritation. In Hudugata also, “eno onthara” song had the same problem but not as bad as Parichaya songs.

I think the comments are made keeping in mind a blind comparision with whatever(*-)). With just a few pics its not good to come into a conclusion. Actors over time should be having a make-over and it seems it is too early for spurious comments. The songs’ picturization is already much talked about and that indirectly mean ppl also liked the make-over and dances.

It is good to encourage actors for changes instead of being comtempt.
