Sad Kahani of Prem Kahani

The Taj Mahal director Chandru, has run into a problem with the film chamber, regarding the name of his film Prem Kahani. After most of the portions of the film have already been shot, the film chamber of commerce has reportedly objected to the name of Prem Kahani. The chamber argues that the title is Hindi and cannot be approved for a Kannada film.
How unmindfully intelligent! What was the chamber doing when it approved the names of the films such Duniya, Jolly Days, and so many other films that didn’t even have an ounce of Kannada in it? Or did someone tell the chamber that all these words originated from Kannada?
We sympathize with you Chandru; of course in pakka English. May the chamber have mercy on us!

I think, its not the name in hindi. There is a hindi movie with the same name “Prem Kahani” 1975 Starer Shashi Kapoor, Rajesh Khanna, Mumtaz… That is the reason KFCC has put a stop.

No more prem kahanis will provide a breather space to the industry. People are sick of watching 100 + love stories last year and it is evident that none of them did well. Its time to give different to the audience. Why dont the film makers think of the ‘navarasas’ when arriving at a story.
Can’t Chandru get a kannada title? And why is the chamber sleeping for other movies?
The industry changes the rules according to their fickleness….
