Sangaathi

July 12th, 2008 at 2:53 pm

Well, the producer Byregouda is all set to launch his son Chetan by a debutant director Srinivasa Raju! Maybe to neutralize this potential risk created by these two debutants, he has roped in an array of veterans like Music Director Hamsalekha, Actors Girish Karnad, & Sudha Belavadi, Editor Suresh Urs, and Action Director Ram Shetty for this film. The cinematographer K.S.Dattu had done a good job in Puneeth starrer Namma Basava earlier and the Sangaathi movie stills do look promising. With a strong support cast and technical team to back up the debutants, Byregowda must be hoping for the best; and so do we!

Sangaathi Audio(Music) Review:

By Raju Shanbhag

The producers of Sangaathi made the right decision to rope in Hamsalekha for the debut film of H.P Chetan. But Hamsalekha disappoints big time with his ordinary music that fails to make any impact whatsoever. Although lyrics in a couple of songs are good, a newcomer and love story deserved a better treatment from this veteran music director who gave a new direction to Kannada film music. This is certainly not one of Hamsalekha’s memorable works.

Jagat Sundari: Hamsalekha tries his hands with modern beats with Kunal Ganjawala rendering the song in his unique style. The song has the mix of everything, with fast beats, slow tunes and Hamsalekha’s unique style of writing such as “Hudugi Pure Gold.” Worth listening.

Nodidashtu Chenda: Although the beginning of this song looks melodiously promising, the tune loses its rhythm midway. Rajesh and Chitra try their very best to give the song much needed freshness. But this is like one of those countless songs that comes in Kannada films, not too good, not too bad.

I Love You: How many ways are there to sing this universal phrase? Well, music director Hamsalekha finds yet another way to sing I Love You, and it’s rather melodious. The song is not extraordinary. But it has the typical Hamsalekha touch that made him a household name with Ravichandran’s films few years ago. Hemanth renders the song beautifully.

Sakhat Kannada: Well, the song is like a special menu of the eatables available all over Karnataka. Hamsalekha pens this song in his own unique style, which is interesting to listen to. If you are out on a tour of Karnataka and do not want to miss out on the special eatables of the place you are visiting, this song can be an educational experience for you! Singer Malati renders this song as though she just had a bite of all these special dishes and can’t hide her excitement!

Pada Bidiso Kaviyalla: Wow! What meaningful lyrics! The lyricist in Hamsalekha takes over this song completely from the music director in Hamsalekha. The lyrics are soft, meaningful and unlike any other songs that were heard recently in Kannada. But the tune is ordinary and that stops this song from being a hit. Rajesh tries his best.

Gullalo: Gullaalo is another ordinary song from Hamsalekha. It’s hard to understand why Udit Narayan had to roped in for the song, when any local talent could have done equally well, or even a tad better! Nothing about the song, right from the lyrics to music to singing remains in your heart. Give it a pass.

CD Cost: Rs.50.

P.S. Due to producer’s request, we are not publishing the mp3 download links for this movie. Producers can contact us on chandru@bellitere.com.

forums are waste. at present you are following the correct format by giving space to visitors to express opinion about ur articles and reviews. for example, telugucinema.com is successfully following this format.

Forum is just a shortcut to fill in content as well as increasing the page ranking and becomes mandatory when the main content is not strong enough.

Our aim is to increase the poularity by value content and we dont intend to jump upon any shortcuts until we have enough value content.. Any enhancement to this site would follow this path.

Anyways you can check the Alexa rankings of bellitere. Its much higher than most of the Kannada movie sites..

    Thanks again for your inputs..

Nothing more is left to discuss offline.

The main attraction of this site is music/movie reviews and not the SONGS (there are better, well-established sites for it). What is in demand is info/reviews/news about movies and a related forum >>> this alone can attract returning visitors. If you choose to continue as the site is today.. I am sure stats will come down soon. You can only expect few visitors accessing site only when there are major releases that’s all. So decide and implement it soon. Start bellitere forum and publish reviews there instead of publishing it on few pages with comments all over.

Apsara, You’ve got a point… Not “a”, but many points..

Hmmmm… No, we do not take abusive comments personally. But the abusive content published on our site may lead us into legal issues.

But a good forum is definately implementable and we do intend to implement it. But it might take some time.

Lets discuss it offline… You can mail us on chandru@bellitere.com

This is internet. Why should you take abuses personally? Have you published your photo and address? No, right? The solution to this Abuse Problem is starting a forum and removing this html comment feature from every pages of this site, which is perceived and used by different people in different ways. Instead if a forum is there, as you said, even others can post their reviews including movies which YOU have not seen. If threads die out within 1-2 months, it has to. Can’t stick to it permanently. Obviously with 100s of movies getting released, all have much to talk about it. Think about site popularity and not about the thread life. We can’t expect to see all the movies so it helps adding reviews of major movies from other’s perspective also. Registered users can’t engage in repeated abuses as there will be other members who can take care of it. All the abuses will be visible only to registered members only and not the entire world, so it is not a big problem to moderate it on a weekly basis. You will have people on your side from the forum to deal and support with.

People are craving for new Kannada forum because there are roughly around 10 POPULAR kannada forums which is administered by owners who have imposed military rule and consider themselves as lords in their domain. So there is lot of demand for new kannada forums and can expect 1000s of members who are looking for a better friendly forum than the existing ones which are very old and dying out in popularity. So think about it. I am sure bandwidth, web space, and money is not a concern for you.

Hi Apsara, Thanks for your feedback and suggestions.

Lemme tell you why we’ve not started forum yet.. We did some analysis and decided to withhold it for some more time. Since the discussions would be centered around a particular movie, people would stop discussing about that particular movie after 1 or 2 months after the release.. So the discussion content would become a dead content within very short period of time.

The number of discussion threads would be at least be equal to the number of movies and it’d be difficult to manage so many threads and the user experience would take a beating. Our main aim is to give well organized user friendly content. So we’re trying to figure out a way to give a discussion platform without compromising user experience. Also we are thinking of starting a new section called “User Reviews” as we have noticed that a lot of people want to review a movie. But it might take time.

We agree that the current comment feature is bit awkward but something is better than nothing. Earlier we didn’t even use to moderate the comments. But a lot of people started misusing the comment feature and we were sort of forced to moderate.

Placing C-Box or forum requires few dedicated people to see that no obscene or racisitc content gets inside our site.

So at the moment forum and chat box are given the lowest priority.

Sooner we’re going to change the complete layout of this site. We’d give “About Us” page once we change the layout of this site(we have given it in our Hindi movies site). The current layout is temporary. This site is just 6.5 months old and we had not expected that it’d become popular so fast.

We are placing our efforts on other high priority stuff like hiring right people for the movie and music reviews.. Since bellitere is an English site about Kannada movies, it’s bit difficult to find people who’ve a good command in both Kannada and English.

  8. why no response - pls reply on July 30th, 2008 10:45 am

Think about starting a forum because owning a community will boost the interaction between the site people and the public, thereby a social relationship and support for the site develops. The bond becomes stronger every time a forum member returns to the site to post. Having a just a comment feature on the site would attract loose lips to spit now and then. Visitors will get a place to hang out “Under the leadership of bellitere.”

  9. Apsara on July 30th, 2008 10:06 am

why don’t you guys introduce yourself and the site. Please create a “About site” page and provide complete information about the site, updates, popularity, reach e-mails, etc,, may be place a c-box or something like that so that visitors can easily and instantly interact with the site people for suggestions, comments, requests, etc. The existing comment feature is not at all good for discussion and opinion, it looks awkward (sorry to say this). A “Bellitere Forum” would be very desirous, but not sure if its “in the bucket” for bellitere.com. Any plans?

Hey Apsara, comments are no right platform for such queries. comments are meant for the movies discussion. FOr such queries, mail to chandru@bellitere.com

how much do you earn from Google Ads? Is the money enough to pay for movie tickets? Totally how much profit do you get after deducing web hosting costs and movie tickets? What is the average page reloads per month? Please reply fast.
