Sangama Music Review
Heavy Bass, Boss!
Sangama music review by Raju Shanbhag
Devi Sri Prasad walked into the Kannada industry with almost a halo behind his head. The man has a number of super hit tracks to his name which is growing faster than the population of our country. After listening to his debut Kannada album, Sanagama, we felt that he can add one more cap to his already swarming crown. But we have a small complaint too. The man relies totally on beats for each and every song, which can get a bit too heavy for weaker, peace loving souls at times. But Devi Sri Prasad almost makes his tunes and the beats inseparable in his songs. Maybe he can change his name to Devi Beats Prasad instead of Devi Sri Prasad. But Sangama is definitely an album worth listening to!
Dil Maange More: And a bit more. As the rhythmic beats and swanky voice of Devi Sri Prasad engulf you, you get a fair idea of what this album is gonna be like. Devi Sri Prasad relies heavily on cadenced beats and dudes with hip accent for his songs. Increase the bass level in your music player guys; this is all set to be an exciting ride. Nice track by the way!
Hey Mr. Balu: Mr. Balu should fast find a bar with dazzling lights and swanky DJ if he wants to dance to this tune. Although the beats in the background work overtime to impress you, the tune selected by Devi Sri Prasad justifies such heavy pounding drums. Chinmayi and Rita do a good job and make themselves heard in this bass rich techno track
Kodu Kodu Varavanu: The best track of the album! These days, there is something tunefully divine about the songs that have something to do with the gods. It started with “ninna poojege bande” from Psycho, continued with “Bhuvanam” in Vamshi, and reaches its pinnacle in this wonderful track. Devi Sri Prasad cleverly mixes Vedic Mantras with his usual beats and a soulful tune this time to make this song highly likeable. Poornima’s sweet voice makes sure that you listen to song again and again. One of the best tracks we heard in recent times.
Madhumasa: Although this song is not exactly a love at first sight affair, it may grow on you after a couple of listening. Devi Shri Prasad fills the scarcity of a good tune in the middle part of the song with some foot tapping beats. Karthik’s youthful voice is perfectly suited to the mood of the song.
Muddu Muddu: After you listen to 3-4 songs from Devi Sri Prasad at a stretch, you forget all about the tunes and all you can remember is the incessant thumping of merciless beats. Depending on your taste of music, you may either revel in this type of music or just be repulsed by it. This song, rendered by Ranjith and Sri Vidya has all the trappings of a lively marriage party track, with usual bass bonanza from Devi Beats Prasad!
Sangama: This is a nice track for two reasons. One, this is a sensuously melodious track, rendered equally beautifully by Sagar and Divya H; two, the tune of this song raises expectations about Vedhika’s possible attire and attitudes in this song, that is, if she has acted in the song! May be the producers of the movie have seen the Tamil DVDs of Vedhika’s films and do not want to let go a golden opportunity. Good for them!

i was really waiting to listen to sangama songs

all the best to sangama team
i wish this completes 100 days n more
my rating for songs 10/10
well,Sangama audio doesn’t meet our expectations…Devi Sri Prasad has taken 4 granted that Ganesh’s movie audio will rock at the industry by default..Only few songs are composed well..Title song “Agali Sangama” reminds us of a telugu song…but it’s nice to hear…both the singers have sung well….and then coming to “Mr. Balu”,it seems very funny…it’s not at all impressing…Kodu Kodu is gud,Madhumasa has a got sum foot-tapping BGM…Dil mange More with high beats doesn’t impress…Coming to lyrics,it’s ‘-O-K-’….not commendable..Kaviraj has followed a KG boy’s way of writing lyrics…searching 4 rhyming words in every line…overall Sangama audio is average..
Scoring:7/10
The songs sound more like telugu rather than Kannada. Songs are good and are perfectly tolerable. Kaviraj has done few experimentation here and there but overall a nice album altogether.
I dont feel it was so necessary to bring Deviprasad to Kannada for this type of album. I personally expected more from him, but he doesnt live upto the expectation.
Hi I caught my bf scheming on me. He called me for the movie sangama, but then I
checked this site and came to know that the movie was not yet released. I bet
he was scheming on me and wanted to do sangama with me. Anyway the information on this site has saved my virginity and I thank bellitere.com for it.

Cynthia darling! you naughty woman, where did u find suppressed/starved female souls in Jogi and Om?
Finally responded for my reply!
My name is not Cynthia but starting with C
I got u Raju I got u!!! u naughty guy!
You like movies which glorify love suppressed/starved female souls finally uniting their soulmate in an epic fashion! You want us females to suffer.
Perhaps you would like this sangama movie if ganesh gives a hard time for his lover.
Is this listing your true choice or are you making it up because l asked you?
Oh! Cool,, Has S.V.Babu got good returns from such bravery?
The director of this film was a makeup man before. Producer s.v babu is known for such bravery. He made r.p patnaik director in telugu then gave another chance to santosh rai pathaje. Now he has given another opportunity for shivamani. This producer is like god to pathetic directors.
Hats off to Devi Sri Prasad for giving some good music.
my favs are Kodu Kodu Varavanu and Sangama, beautifull track indeed, Music and rythm are matching.
Hi Cynthia (Let’s assume that’s your real name),
Let’s check,
There haven’t been too many films which made a deep impact on my psyche in the recent years. But some of the films I thoroughly enjoyed in the recent years are Om, A, Jogi, ManeDevru (Surprise, surprise), Ganeshana Maduve, Duniya, Milana, and above all Gaalipata for its music, cinematography and very easy going narration with a level of sophisticated humor rarely seen in Kannada before.
Mungaru Male does not figure in my favorites list from the recent years, because I am not too keen on watching emotionally draining love stories (Thank god I was not a reviewer for Bellitere then. I would have received lots of flak
). I haven’t watched most of the old classics such as Kasturi Nivasa, Bangarada Manushya, Sharapanjara, Naagara Haavu etc, so I can’t comment on them.
ya SLUM BALA songs r awesome………. hats off kaviraj……
People – listen to song “Ninne Raatri” from “Nam Yejamanru”. One of the best songs in recent times in Kannada. Wonderful in all aspects – lyrics, music & singing. Hamsaleka is back with bang in this song.
hi i am regular visitor here and i have noticed that
some are using bellitere comment section for publicity of their site. For example,
gandhadagudi and sizzilingstar. these people are flooding comments and creating nuisance regarding opinions.
A humble request.
You people have your own respective sites for yourselves so please die in your site only. Don’t die here….. it rottens and the bones stays here for a loooooong time. Please help keeping bellitere bone free.
Hey Mr. Rajuuuu
can u list some of kannada movies which u like (if at all any)
Guys along with Sangama, listen to “Slum Bala” songs ….. there are just 2 and both are awesome. Music Director Arjun has come up with some brilliant tunes
From where did DSP pick this singer, Sagar? Sangama is such a beautiful track and this guy has sung pathetically! The beautiful music, tune and Divya’s sensuous voice netralize Sagar’s ugly effect to some extent. But u can make it out after u hear 2-3 times.
This movie (SANGAMA) is supposed to have quite a few attractive tracks….Dil Maange More,Sangama,Kodu Kodu Varavanu are the ones that catch the listeners attention….full credit should be given to both the lyricist-KAVIRAJ as well as the music director- DEVI SRI PRASAD for providing these numbers.
I hope it does well in the box office not as bad as bombat where loads of money was invested and very less returnscame out……
for name sake it is a “kannada album” but inside its full of
“echos from other lands.” Can anyone pinpoint from which tunes/music are theses songs lifted?
2 songs are good.. Aagali Sangama and Kodu kodu varavanu (simply superb track)… Hope they are picturized well to and do justification to the music.
Please upload Sangama Songs…
I’m crazy to listen to them…
Specially : Dil maange more.
Pls pls pls pls….
Nice ALBUM
Yes..
Kodu kodu varavanu is the song of the album..
Kudos to the singer.. Great Job..
Followed by Title track and Dil maange more..
Instead of relying on one lyricist – Kaviraj..
Film makers should have used two or possibly three..
This album definitely misses Jayanth’s magic.
Again good work Raju.
I appreciate the guts of S.V.Babu to bust so much money on a debutant director! Getting the superstar Ganesh, Tamil sensation Vedhika, and one of the hottest music directors of Telugu Cinema, Devi Shri Prasad must have cost S.V.Babu a big time!
Or is it audacity out of ignorance? Lack of understanding of movie-making? Recently a Shivraj Kumar’s movie was launched with a debutant director and they picked Sonal Chauhan for the heroine. She also must have come at a big price. Bombat was also a similar case.. They spent so much on the actors and hired a wrong director and movie bombed at the boxoffice.
The role of a director is very crucial regarding how the movie would shape up finally. We hear many remarks like in Maniratnam’s movies, songs would be good. In Maniratnam’s movies, the camera work would be good, the story would be good… and so on.. Even though Maniratnam is a director, there are well known people for doing Music Direction, Cinematography..etc, the comments would be made on the director and it’d be true also. Not all these people perform the same way under other directors.
God only knows when these Kannada producers understand this!
The Jalsa(Telugu Movie) trace in Muddu Muddu song is unmistakable! Of course, he only had composed music for that movie also.
The tune in the line, “If you have car, you want more” in Dil Maange More is also copy from an English song. I dont remember which song is that.
But overall, a superb album..
