Even before hitting the silver screen, debutant director Manju Swaraj’s ‘Shishira’ has managed to create ripples already.
The film, which also marks the comeback of Prema, who gave up films for marriage some years ago, also stars Yashas Surya and the svelte, dusky, long limbed California-born Meghna.
Prema apart, ‘Shishira’ has several more talking points. Swaraj boasts that his film has a 3.40 minute long song, which was shot in one long complicated shot with the help of 200 floodlights.
If you think this here is a ‘tall’ claim, there’s more. ‘Shishira’ also stars Santosh Kumar who’s a whopping 7 feet 8 inches tall, who plays the villain.
Here’s what Manju has to say about his maiden offering. “Shishira is not only a story-based movie but also a very technical film. We shot for around 30 days from 6 am to 2 am and slept for only four hours."
The film has been produced by B T Manju and B Mahadev and the music score has been lent by Ananish Lokanath and the lyrics have been penned by Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar.
