Shivanna’s inspirational pursuit of happyness!
After scaring the box office as well as Shivraj kumar’s career with his disaster movie Maadesha, Ravi Srivatsa is going to tackle father-son relationship in his next movie, “Muthu… Nammappa”. Shivaraj Kumar is playing the lead role. The female lead is not decided yet. Daisy Bopanna and Tamil actress Sneha are being contacted for the same.
The film is rumored to be a remake of Will Smith starrer Hollywood flick, Pursuit of Happyness. Shivraj kumar flatly shrugged it off as a rumor and pointed out that it’s impossible to remake Hollywood movies because of the huge cultural differences. But Srivatsa offered some credit to the original movie saying that its definitely inspired from Pursuit of Happyness, but its not remake of that movie.
Looks like Kannada filmmakers’ fascination is slowly shifting from FM Radio Jockeys to Software Engineers. Love Guru is another movie which is set on software industry. So Shivraj Kumar will be carrying a laptop instead of his blood soaked macchu in this movie.

Shivanna is the evergreen actor in the kannada movie after annavru. At his age he has done variety of charchter, movies, hit and flops. we still expect lot of things from him.Since he has not acted outside kannadamovie like his father it is not advisable to comapare with him to other language actress. For us he is like kamal, rajini, big b, sharuk and all in all. tell me he is not even crossed 50 but he has done variety of charachters like Anand -loverboy, Manamechidahudugi-Innocent village boy, rebellion-in ranaranga, a dedicated son to family in Modada mareyalli, an easy go officer in -Inspector vikram, a true under world don in Om& jogi , an classic lover in nammura mandara Hoove and Janumada Jodi and true real brother in Tavarigeba Thangi and anna Thangi. But still i feel honestly the best from shivann is yet to come. We all wish let the forthcomming Jogaiah (shivanna’s 100th movie)become superduperhit, shivannna keeps contributing to the kannad film industry more and more and let him statrt his direction also. At this point of time shivanna should lead all kannadigas through his charachter, behaviour, partcipating in all issues for kannada and kannadigas. becaue he is the shivaraj and present Raja for all of us at thishour.

The chief director of (sugreeva) the film is Prashanth who has already directed a Malayalam film, Bhagawan last year with Mohan Lal. Bhagawan was also shot within a single day.very good director

I watched BB at Kapali yesterday afternoon show.It is an excellent film and we must showcase it in order to retain our culture and tradition.Tremendous response from the crowd,moved by shivanna’s sterling performance,as a torch bearer of tradition,custom, mutual respect, good will and to blend even hard core enemies.I am sure he can easily earn 5th state award for his excellent performance and also for the best film,in terms of subject and social commitment .It would not be an over statement if it wins national award in the best regional film category with social commitment to preserve our heritage and culture.
The onus is on the state government to exempt it from ENTERTAINMENT TAX and make it TAX FREE FILM. May good sense prevail in all of us to appreciate good film without prejudices.

We are focused here only on our rich folklore assets of our language and its usages in our movies.I respect your opinions about versions and contributions of md here.Illiaraja is living legend in music world and we cannot deny it. Also i am happy with lyrical values and melody quotient in other songs which has been delaying lot offlate in our movies.

Bhagyadha Balegaara songs are melodious and meaningful.Apt to title there are 2 very good folk songs which are bound to take all types of audiences to new world.

If the movie gets inspired from hollywood or any korean,france movies,then it wone become remake.Only if you gets inspired from bollywood or any other southern languages then it will be remake.Foreign movies have entirely different viewpionts, culture,traditions ,budgets,locations and morever thier viewers have thier own mindsets.
Probably Shivanna is the only actor to have movies like Chiguridha kanasu,Rishi,Haagaleveesha,KumaraRaama,Inspectar vikram,Ak47,……………………………………………..If any actor doesnt gets addicted to particular image in his early days,it wont be much problems to adopt to any role.We cant just give few examples for image for our justifications…the movies and its concept speak all.
Shivanna is suited for any role.Its hard fact that none have such broad spectrum of movies.
i feel Sudeep is well suited for the role to play as wills smith in pursuit of happyness….

krish….i wud say that u r just new to bangalore or KFI……or u dont have eyes….yappa u say that shivanna has to improve acting skills…..yenappa ninn kann seri illaa irbeku..he is the only versatile actor in kannada and he can do any type of movies any type of roles…….and boss u cant just give only hodi maga as an example…its with the people who always like thanglu anna they liked swades which was an illegal remake of shivanna starrer CHIGURIDHA KANASU and CHIGURIDHA KANASU was 100 times better than that swades…also shivanna is one who has done movies like Gandugali kumararama taking the risk of doing historicall movies at the time when they are not being seen by many…he can also look younger…watch out the stills of Cheluveya ninna nodalu if u need…..
and keep this in ur mind…its very difficult to satisfy kannada audiences…they look out for quality movies unlike tamil and telugu audiences who make a film hit when a hero mouths a few powerful dialogues…brings the lamp down with just one hit to his leg…hero hitting 60 people at one go…..all these type of films if come in kannada will be thrown out
