Sudeep to Act in RGV Next Flick!
Not many Kannada actors have the distinction of having worked in ‘A’ Grade Hindi films in the past. Even though actors like Vishnuvardhan had acted in some Hindi movies before, they did more damage to his image than doing any good. Actors like Anant Nag had acted in movies like Raat and Yuva with leading directors such as Ram Gopal Varma and Maniratnam. But again, they were just small roles.
But now, Sudeep has acted as a hero in RGV’s Phoonk. Although the film didn’t exactly frighten the people out of their wits, Sudeep’s acting was appreciated all over the country. Now, the RGV has selected Sudeep in his next film, Rann. The film, according to RGV unveils the dirty games played in the media. But it’s also clear that RGV film is almost a reaction to the negative publicity he received in the media for his recent films.
Sudeep plays the role of Jay Malik, the son of Harshvardhan Malik (played by Amithabh Bachchan). In RGV’s own terms, Sudeep’s character is a go getter and looks at the media as a business and expects to make profits from running a channel.
Along with lots of people and media in Kannada, Bellitere always believed that Sudeep is a special actor with amazing talent. Now the man has an opportunity to showcase his talent in the national level. We wish all the best to Sudeep in his new Hindi venture.
