Sunil Kumar Desai’s Rhythmic Comeback!
While most of the filmmakers in Kannada complain about the limited market for our films, Sunil Kumar Desai often tested its boundaries with unique subjects and bizarre names for his films. Some of his experiments reached the shores of success and some others sunk midway. But the man must be credited for his brave hearted attempts in an industry where rose and rowdies have been prevailing for the time immemorial (at least it looks like that!)
Desai, who had gone silent after his disastrous Ramya Chaitra Kala, Parva, and Kshana Kshana, is now back with Sarigama. He has roped in Prajwal Devaraj as the hero of the film and the heroine will be a new face. Ilayaraja, who scored some wonderful tunes for Desai’s Nammura Mandara Hoove is back in this film. Sunil Rao, who acted in films like Excuse Me, will also be playing a key role in the film.
Thanks to Desai’s inconsistency as a filmmaker, he hasn’t got the credit he deserves in the Kannada film industry. Bellietere wishes that Sarigama puts him back on the right track and provides the much needed diversity to Kannada film industry through this maverick.

Yes.. I guess Desai is from Bijapur.. He can use the Bijapur language itself..
i am kinda tired of bangalore kannada in kannada films. it will be interesting if desai uses other flavours of kannada like in Nammura Mandara Hoove, Huliya and Rama Shyama Bhama.
i really agree with what you said “he hasn’t got the credit he deserves in the Kannada film industry”.
I wish him all the very best for this movie and future movies.
All the best to Suni Kumar Desai. The heroine of this movie is a new girl called, Nakshatra. She’s the daughter of D.Rajendra Babu
