Swami on Celluloid!
He may not be the preferred source for philosophical discourses any more among his devotees, but Swami Nityananda has found some unlikely admirers from the field of cinema. After his adventurous escapades with an out of circulation film actress, it only appears natural that the film industry is looking for more from this funky philosopher. While Ram Gopal Varma has promised a film named “God and Sex,” which will be primarily based on Nityananda and his ilk, our own KFI wants to see the funny side of this whole sordid episode.
So enter Ramesh Aravind, who has almost become the brand ambassador of family comedies in Kannada, who will now be donning the role of a ‘fun loving swamiji’ in an unnamed Kannada film. The film will be directed by debutant Gajendra Achar and the lyrics and dialogues are by Hrudaya Shiva.
And nopes, the leading lady will definitely not be Ranjitha, with whom Swami Nityananda allegedly had an affair. In fact, the crew hasn’t finalized the heroine as yet.
May we suggest looking in Swamiji’s Ashram for some new or established faces?
