Vamshi Music Review
Puneeth Rajkumar’s action packed scenes blended with sentiment and sparks of youthful romance have always gripped our cine-goer’s fascination. What better than a perfect combo that worked the magic in Milana? After his sensational Milana, the Director Prakash portrays Puneeth again in Vamshi. While Milana dealt with husband-wife relationship, Prakash’s focus in Vamshi has shifted to the mother-son relationship with the backdrop of underworld and of course, the love. Lakshmi is playing the mother role wheras Nikitha is playing the lover girl.
Vamshi was supposed to hit the screens on September 12th itself. But well, because of champions trophy(cricket), the release date has been postponed. But the champions trophy itself got postponed to 2009! Need to see whether there is any change in the release date..
Vamshi Movie Review: High Voltage Entertainment!
Vamshi Music Review
By Raju Shanbhag
Often, the music of Puneet Rajkumar’s film reflects the easygoing policy of his films. None of Puneet’s films are breathtakingly different, and none really will qualify to go to Oscars. But they provide clean, engaging entertainment that is, in local dialect, full paisa vasool. Now, the music of Vamshi is somewhat on similar lines. The songs are not the works of a musical genius. But they reflect the psyche of a crafty musician who knows exactly what people like and has no hesitation in giving that! When you listen to these songs, you won’t complain about it either!
Buvanam: Be it a sensuous item song or a devotional song, a foot tapping is a must. Ask the orchestras that knuckle down the popular filmy tunes to praise lord Ganesha and they’ll vouch for this fact. So, when music director R. P. Patnayak opens the much awaited album, Vamshi, with a devotional track, he makes sure that the song is tuneful. It is devotionally captivating to listen to this song! Although you may not appreciate the bleary pronunciation of words by singer Soham Chakravarthy, he does a neat job when it comes to grip on the tune and feeling he lends to the song. Worth listening!
Jote Joteyali: Although the vivacious voice of Shreya Ghoshal and the lively tune of this track promise to take you on an exciting journey, Puneeth’s mushy voice puts a screeching halt to your cozy imagination. Puneeth is fantastic on screen, one of the best in the current lot in Kannada. But his singing is not in the same league as his acting as it leaves a bitter taste of dissatisfaction in your mouth. Not everybody can be Dr. Rajkumar, isn’t it?
Enayto Idenayto: Lyricist V. Nagendra Prasad bares his soul in this song where self pity drips like tear drops from Shruthi’s eyes! Sonu Nigam chooses to sing this song in high pitch which pushes us further down the road of sorrow. But amidst all this pain and grief, R. P. Patnayak still remembers that even patho songs need to be melodious to the ears of listeners. The tune is appealing and Sonu Nigam’s Kannada pronunciation is as usual, appalling!
Amalu: The words by Jayant Kaikini which talk about some kind of dazed state, looks completely incongruous to the tune, which has a light and easygoing nature to it. Funnily, both lyrics and the tune are perfectly good when you evaluate them separately! It’s just that when you try to fuse these two together, the disparity strikes. Haven’t we heard in our childhood that songs and lyrics should go together? Oh, how the times change!
Mayagati: Listening to singer Malati’s voice in this song, you can’t help but feel sorry for her missed opportunity to sing for Malashri. Malati covers the deficiency of her shrill voice with bubbly energy that even eggs her male colleague Udit Narayan on to give his best shot for the song. Musically, this is a desi version of an item song!
Thayi Thayi: You will get a pleasant surprise as you listen to the golden voice of our Annavru. Now, it’s not for nothing that Dr. Rajkumar is considered to be such a gifted artist. In an age when the words are easily jumbled by the present day singers, Dr. Rajkumar shines with his explicit pronunciation of words and a voice which the whole Karnataka loved for last half century. Hamsalekha’s music for this song is apt for such a great artist.

this movie is puniths the best ever…………..wat a story!!!!!!!!!mind blowing……..extrordinary action,acting,camerawork………….simply best……….most worth to watch………………..
I saw the movie today. Though the first half seems to be o.k, the second half really sucks. The director seems to be in total confusion.
Enu Shanbhag avare, Vamshi review kaanistaane illa? Hindi moviesnalli busy aagiddira?
i am waiting for this movie, it is so catchy with the posters and clippings, this weekend i will watch this movie. all the movies of punith are simply beautiful, punith is a power packed hero. punith means all time hits.
how is the movie?
Vamshi songs r really good. Every actor needs to work hard to grow in any field(irrespective of their star value). Film will b hit only if it is having a good storlyine, music, and acting, and also technical work. It just does not depend the actors who is acting in it. Puneeth is doing a good work and also others. Puneeth’s most of the films r good bcz of the story which he choose, music, and also his gud acting (dancing and fighting will b awesome that someone else cant do it in kannda films). Any film can b a flop if story is not gud, but one and only Puneeth can attract young guys bcz of his splendid dancing and fighting skills on the screen even though story is not gud (like Bindaas). About Mungaru Male’s huge sucess I can tell that it is purely a sucess of story, also music and may be Ganesh’s dialogues (but not acting skill that needs to improve a lot), in that, the real hero was Yogaraj Bhatt. If one movie bcms huge hit (dnt call someone as Goldenstar) and dnt compare him with great actors, it is ur studipity. Ganesh needs to improve his acting skill a lot except his dialogue skill (that is d only thing he can do well). I have seen someone (not matureud one) comparing Ganesh with Dr. Raj (Mungaru Male broke even Dr. Raj’s Jeevana Chaitra record also….andre??), does it mean to say Ganesh is greater than Dr. Raj???…..(only the people who r not matured can think like that)…Dnt compare anybody with Dr. Raj bcz he is the one and only actor that world has seen (as a great singer and also great actor)….I wish all the best to both actors Puneeth as well as Ganesh and also for the rest who really work hard…Jai Buvaneshwari.
Hey guys i am one of Punith fan. His vemshi songs are superb. He is ever green hero of kannada industry. Vamshi will be next block buster. Then next continues with Raj, Lagori…….He is number one hero Sandlewood from last 8 years.
all the best, puneeth. u will rock and will the superstar for kannada. ganesh time is getting closed. v like ur action, dancing and acting qualities. milana was a superb movie.
Hi Guys I have watched this movie @ list 25 times then it is solid movie & 1 more thing that Family can also watch any how Wish u good luck always (Punit) for ur future film career & upcoming films ( Raj, Vanshi, Lagori & Many more Uncountable)
GOOD LUCK……..!
Thanks Phani for the correction.. We corrected it.
MILANA was not a debut movie of director PRAKASH.. Before that he had directed 3 movies ( KUSHI, RISHI, SHREE ) already. Please don’t give wrong infos.
Shanbag is at it again. The people of Karnataka still love Annavaru’s voice. And Jothe Jotheyali is a huge hit among the masses…So much for ur opinion regarding Puneeth’s voice.
vamshi songs are superb ….punith will proove it again that ,he’s the best actor in kannada . ….his dance is awesome in the song jothe jotheyali …..keep roking puneeth ….. i’m waiting for ur raaj and lagori…
Mr. Raju Shanbag, are you out of ur mind. When n where did Puneeth say that he is competing his father in singing. Infact even GOD cannot compete with Dr.Raj. At least you should have little commonsense when ur trying to comapre someone witrh Dr.Raj. Also, remember that Puneet is just an offbeat and sings very rarely. The bottom line he is not a singer. A one off song is not going to hurt you. The song is really peppy. But if u still want to find some fault, then u better change ur attitude.
Mungaru male full credit yaakayya bari Ganesh obbanige kodtiya? The major factors for its success was Yograj Bhat and the brilliant score by Mano Murthy.
Both these actors are very different.. You cant just compare them like this. That way, Milana was a brilliant movie too..
goood…..not like MUNGARU MALE….NO CAN CAN BEAT mungaru male
but he cant beat GOLDENSTAR GANESH’S RECORD…!what a film MUNGARU MALE….!AMEZING…..!AND I DONT LIKE PUNEETH…!BUT I LIKE HIS ACTING.FIL STORY….!

It looks vamshi, will have a good hopes. I think, Shivu is signing

two songs r exceedingly good, bhuvanam and jhote jhoteyali
I strongly disagree with the reviewer for his views on Amalu amalu song..
Jayanth songs doesn’t strike you at first instance but they bowl you over on successions.. And this one too.. It will be one of the most striking songs of the year.
Songs are Pathetic!!!! ……. it was a waste of 50 Rs on buying the CD……
…….
I was not expecting this kind of music direction for our Power star….. His movie songs are always good except this!!!!!!!!…………….
I was not able to listen to even one song completely!!!!!!!!!……..
Mr.Vamshi The so Called Music Director: Please quit your Job and start a Bonda angadi…. U do not have any talent in this line!!!!!!!!!
I think the Movie will be a bigger FLOP than BINDASS!!!!!!!!
