Yogi to hit the screens this week

As a beleaguered KFI desperately looks on for a savior to give them a ray of hope from spate of flops, Yogesh will test the Gandhinagar waters this Friday with Yogi. This is a film on which even Yogesh would pin his hopes on, as his last few films haven’t exactly set the cash registers ringing.

Yogi’s is a predictable underworld saga with a backdrop of childhood love thrown in for ladies class (Yogesh has a very good following among ladies!). Yogi is a canteen supplier who accidentally enters the underworld (Voila! Grab those blood thirsty Macchus again!). Biyanka Desai is the leading lady with Rekha, Shireen and Suchendra Prasad filling up other vacancies.

The film is produced by K. Manju and directed by Prakash, who earlier directed “Yamalokadalli Veerappan” for Manju. Emil, who created magic with Yogesh in Nanda Loves Nanditha joins Yogish once again in this film. He has used voices of A. R. Rehman’s sister and hero Yogesh for some songs in this film.

Will Yogi bless Yogesh’s career with a much needed hit? Let’s wait and watch.
